object lesson

The object lesson worked well. The children were quick to agree which sin was their own, but wanted to clip on each other's balloons as well. Only I clip moved the balloon a lot, so we didn't spend a lot of time naming sins. They saw the point readily. We circled clasping hands and they repeated a prayer of confession after me--hopefully it modeled what they can do in their own prayer time.

I loved the images and so did my class of middle schoolers. They enjoy moving around, so when it was time to attach “sin” paper clips everyone enjoyed participating. Even my shy kids.

Visually-packed object lesson

I love this object lesson because it is such a visual way to teach my kids about what happens when we not only sin, but hang on to the sin in our lives. There are additional printables that can make the lesson even more visual too, which I love! Plus the extra printable discussion questions, coloring pages, writing sheets, etc. are really great to use for extending the lesson and making it last longer in order to really impress the lesson upon my children. They are well-thought out and really adorable!
